Absentee ballots for the September 8, 2015 Davis County School Election are now available at the Davis County Auditor’s Office.  Voters may vote early at the Auditor’s Office in the Davis County Courthouse during the regular office hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday, September 4.

Absentee ballots to be mailed must be requested in writing no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4.  Absentee request forms are available from the Davis County Auditor’s Office or on the Auditor’s webpage of the Davis County website at www.daviscountyiowa.org.

The Davis County Auditor’s Office will pay the postage for all ballots returned by mail.  Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked prior to midnight, Saturday, September 5 (please note that the day prior to the election is  a federal holiday and post offices will be closed), or may be delivered to the Davis County Auditor’s Office before the polls close at 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.  Forms should be dropped off or mailed to the Davis County Auditor’s Office, 100 Courthouse Square, Suite 2, Bloomfield, IA  52537.

Proposition A
Shall the Board of Directors of the Davis County Community School District in the Counties of Davis and Van Buren, State of Iowa, be authorized to contract indebtedness and issue General Obligation Bonds in an amount not to exceed $9,600,000 to provide funds to build, furnish and equip an athletic stadium, to include track, bleachers, football field, and to improve the site; to build, furnish and equip a West Sport Complex, to include baseball and softball fields and to improve the site; to resurface the District’s tennis courts; to renovate, remodel, furnish and equip the existing Locker Rooms, the old Art Room, the existing Music Room and the existing Wrestling Room into Locker Rooms, a Wrestling Room, and a Multi-Purpose Room; and to build, furnish and equip a new Music Room as an addition to the new High School building, and related remodeling?
